Yes, we know they’re dead but not disturbing in any way. On the harmless end of the disturbing scale would be the original Star Wars laser gun fights with the red beams hitting stormtroopers, causing them to fall motionless to the floor. Violent scenes comprise only about 5-10% of the film, but the emotional impact is more disturbing than some films that have near-constant violence (like Van Damme or Chuck Norris cheesy violence). And then later on, one of the main characters gets run through by a lightsabre, in a very defined and notable way - not just in the heat of the moment. You see dead bodies on the ground, and there's some scariness. there's a dream sequence that's a little spooky. there's a 'torture' scene, which is more jarring because the character in the chair screams really loud at the end. There's also a picture shortly after of them all lying on the ground.

It's not a graphic scene, but you can tell what's going on. You see the troopers open up with laser blasters. In the first 5 minutes, there was the slaughter of villagers (right after the villain said, "Kill them all"). Some of the concerning scenes for the younger kids: And I mean violence beyond your usual lightsabre battles. I think a kiss on the forehead was as crazy as it gets. There was a serious dark side to this movie. On the whole, it was a good movie, but definitely more like #2 and #3 in the series, then the episodes 4 through 6.
